“Olamide Changed My Life, I’m Grateful To Him” – Singer Adekunle Gold

Nigerian urban highlife singer and songwriter, Adekunle Kosoko, famously known as Adekunle Gold, has revealed in a new interview that his signing to YBNL records label was a big blessing for him.

According the 30 years old graphic designer who quit his job as a brand manager for a social media brand activation company in back 2014 to squarely face his music career, he was barely getting recognition in the music industry until he got noticed by Nigerian rapper, singer and YBNL Boss, Olamide Badoo who changed his life.

But since signing to YBNL in 2015, which he quit a year later after his deal expired, Adekunle Gold has not only become a household name, he has been able to create his own unique sound with a large fan base.

In his words in the interview, the ‘Work’ crooner who  since leaving YBNL label when his 1 year contract expired has not only become a household name, but has been able to create his own unique sound with a very large fan base said;

“YBNL moved me. I had Sade before YBNL and it was already getting popular. When I got signed to the label, we shot the video and it became like a sensation everywhere. Getting signed to YBNL took me to London for the first time. That was in 2015. So, YBNL changed everything for me. I am grateful to Olamide for all the support and inspiration”.

He added that a new sophomore album that will be released in the first quarter of the new year 2018 is in the works when asked on the project he is currently working on.
